Fuller, Meta WarrickMeta Warrick Fuller, "Water Boy" bronze, 1914.

(1877-1968) As African American sculptor, Meta Warrick Fuller trained as an artist in Pennsylvania as well as in Paris. She studied under Auguste Rodin who urged her to continue scultping. After she finished her studies in Paris, she came back to America and much of work works' themes revolved around the connection of the United States to Africa in terms of slavery and un-enlightenment.
