Throughout life we are given choices. Sometimes, these choices are beyond our control. American slaves were not given a choice to be bound or free, this is the life they were born into. Today, our abilities are limited by our experiences and the societies we live in. Often times, our representations skew the view on our truths. All it takes is a look through a lens of harsh reality to show the truth of our worst expressions.
